For our second theme spotlight we are talking about bohemian weddings! Of all the wedding themes out there, I’d say the bohemian style is at the top of the list. We here at Borrowed and Bleu have seen lots of bohemian style events the last couple of years.
So, how do you get the look you ask? Bohemian weddings tend to be romantic, earthy, and a little wild. You can find them with a variety of color palettes. However, they are usually earthy colors whether warm shades of terracotta and rust, or cool blues and greens. Vintage items are perfect for boho weddings, because the decor tends to be an eclectic collection of items that compliment each other but aren’t too matchy.

Bohemian weddings are another style that work wonderfully in outdoor settings! Earthy outdoor backdrops perfectly compliment the bohemian style. If you’re having an indoor wedding find a venue with rustic or modern elements, or even better, both!
When looking for boho wedding inspiration you are sure to come across pampas grass! I would venture to say that pampas grass is the unofficial wedding “flower” of bohemian weddings.

As I mentioned earlier, pampas grass is a common decor element in a bohemian wedding. Ceremony backdrops tend to be rustic or modern. Mix-matched decor elements are ideal for this wedding theme, so focus on finding items you love and don’t worry about them matching exactly.
Upholstered furniture and fun seating areas are a great addition to a bohemian event. A collection of couches and chairs, poufs and pillows will give guests fun places to hang out. Incorporate different textures by using vintage rugs, macramé pieces, or faux fur pillows!

This head table is a great example of the collected look that boho weddings tend to have. The bride chose some of our vintage china and glassware, and paired it with modern gold siverware. Add in the macrame runner and an assortment of our milk jar vases with wild-looking florals and you have bohemian perfection!
